Hertsmere Council recently revealed plans to add over 1000 new houses to Radlett and Aldenham Parish.
This would mean a 28% increase in existing housing, concreting over 142 acres of precious greenbelt.
The deadline to object to the DRAFT version of the Local Plan has now passed. In January 2022 there will be a revised version, where local residents in objection to it will be able to comment again - That will form the FINAL version of the Local Plan
This website has been put together to help guide and inform you.
Here is what we are trying to get locals to OBJECT to:
350 houses & a traveller site opposite Fairfield School
15 houses right next to that on the main road near High Cross
90 houses even further down towards Radlett on the Watford Road
75 houses the Radlett end of Theobald Street
📷 195 houses between Theobald Street & Shenley Hill
10 houses in Hillfield Lane 10 houses in Letchmore Heath
30 houses in Roundbush 10 houses in Church Lane
15 houses in Pegmire Lane 10 houses in Cobden Hill
40 houses on Porters Park Golf Club
ALL ON GREENBELT LAND!!!
Plus whatever else has already been granted permission and whatever site developers themselves manage to aquire.

It's where they are built and the infrastructure (transport, footpaths, cycling routes, schools, doctors, emergency services.. etc) around it. The Council also have an obligation to prioritise building on 'brownfield sites'.
Plus... Our little objection group has found over 300 properties that have been built in Radlett already and haven't been accounted for on the plan.
It is our understanding that they have only made plans for land that has been put forward by brownfiled land owners - they should make it their priority to go out and identify other brownfield land that has not been put forward to the Council because the land owners don't know that they can!
